Easy Truffles 16 oz. Scharffen Berger Bittersweet Chocolate 1 cup Heavy Cream Scharffen Berger Cocoa Powder Powdered Sugar (optional) Crushed Hazelnuts (optional)
Chop Scharffen Berger bittersweet chocolate into very small pieces. Bring cream to a boil, remove from heat and pour over chopped bittersweet chocolate pieces. After allowing to sit for 15 minutes, stir mixture until completely smooth. Allow to sit another 15 minutes at room temperature, allowing chocolate to thicken a bit. Transfer chocolate mixture into a glass dish and set it in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes. Use a spoon to carve out small pieces of the mixture and roll them into balls using your hands. Allow the balls to chill for another 30 minutes. Roll balls into Scharffen Berger cocoa powder, allowing it to completely coat each ball. For Variety try rolling the balls in powdered sugar and crushed hazelnuts, instead of the cocoa powder. |
