Pear Butter Nut Bread 1/2 cup unsalted Butter 1 cup Sugar 2 Eggs 1 tsp Vanilla 2 cups All Purpose Flour 1 tsp Kosher Salt 1 tsp Baking Powder 1 tsp Baking Soda 1/4 tsp Nutmeg 1/2 tsp Cinnamon 1/8 tsp ground Cardamom 1 cup Oakville's Pear Butter 3/4 cup chopped Walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8-1/2 inch x 4-1/2 inch x 2-1/2 inch loaf pan. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and the vanilla to the sugar mixture and mix well. Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and add to the egg mixture. Stir well to blend. Stir the pear butter and the walnuts into the batter. Place the batter into the greased loaf pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on a rack. |
